Got A Tattoo
Things I've done so far in the first 4 days of my 2-week vacation:
1. Had dinner at National Sports Grill at Greenbelt, and ordered my
favorite burger so far anywhere in the country - their San Francisco
Burger. Ayus! And this was on the night of my last day at company A2.
Haha! This was sort of a mini-celebration I guess.
2. Gone to The Spa for a peppermint foot scrub and foot massage and
the all-time favorite swedish massage. (No. There was no extra service
provided. Dang! Haha! Not that The Spa offers that kind of service.
Not that I know of at least.)
3. Bought the latest (and the last) book in the Harry Potter series,
on the first day it was officially released. I've finished reading all
700+ pages in 4 days. Not a mean feat by any standard. There were too
many interruptions! Hehe.
4. Got myself a wicked tattoo. Finally. I've wanted to get one for the
longest time in years. And finally, I can now check this off my list
of things to do before I die. Some people still can't believe I
actually did it. Some are even asking for a photo with my face in the
picture so that they're 100% sure I'm not just pulling their chain!
Hahaha! It really must be so out of character for me based on how most
people know me. Anyway, I've posted the picture here that I took one
day after I got the tattoo. You can't see my face but I assure you,
that is me in the photo, and that is my arm. And by the way, that
ain't a dragon painted on my arm. If you look closely, it's really a
lion. ;-)
5. Other plans in the next couple of days? Get a haircut. Go to that
new Ayala mall - Trinoma. And maybe go someplace outside of Manila for
a couple of days. Let's see what happens.

Long Break
Whew! That really was a long break. My last blog post had been way
back in November of 2006! And it's already nearly the end of July
2007! Time really flies when you're working your ass off for a
consulting company, doing mostly implementation work. My excuse for
not having blogged in the past 8 months or so, is simply and literally
- I did not have any more time! Maybe I did on some days, but it's
likely I was either too exhausted from the day's work and from
thinking about the work that still had to be done, and on some days I
was glued to my laptop watching seasons 1 and 2 of Prisonbreak, season
1 of Heroes, and seasons 1-3 of Entourage. Season 4 of Entourage has
finally started in the US so I get to watch a new episode every week
;-) The new seasons of Heroes and Prisonbreak are set to start in the
fall, sometime in September I think. Can't wait for those two to
start!
Anyway, back to using work as an excuse for not having the time to
blog. I'm sort of trying to restart my blogging mojo since I think I
will have the time now to do this again. See, I'm moving out of
consulting work (again) and am currently in-between jobs once again.
Long story. Yeah. But just wanted to write that I'm rejoining my
previous company (company C). After nearly a year (11 mos. and 20
days) doing consulting work with company A2, I've decided that it's
really too exhausting to be doing (leading) implementation projects
and so have been enticed once more to rejoin my previous employer
doing mainly production support work. At least I think that's what I'm
going to be doing. We'll see what happens. Hopefully, the stress
levels this time will be kept at a minimum or there will be none at
all. Mind you, this is only ONE of the reasons I've decided to rejoin
company C. As for the other, equally important reasons for leaving
company A2, well... maybe I'll write about it some other time.
